Morpheus 8

Discover the power of Morpheus 8 at Ancaster Physicians with Dr. Nainar

Dr. Nainar

Ancaster Physicians is proud to offer Morpheus 8 by InMode. This technology targets collagen to remodel the skin. Microneedles penetrate to a depth of 4 mm into the collagen and cause injury with radiofrequency heat. This bimodal injury to the skin causes a unique stronger healing response compared to other technologies. With increased collagen production, the results are dramatic. The effects of aging are reduced; skin is tighter, smoother, and brighter. Fine lines and deep set wrinkles are improved. There is minimal downtime with this nonsurgical treatment.

Who could benefit from Morpheus 8?

This cosmetic procedure goes beyond conventional treatments. Anyone with acne scars, stretch marks, textural irregularities of the skin, large pores and loose skin sagging skin will benefit from Morpheus 8. It is suitable for all skin types. Unfortunately, it is not for anyone who is prone to keloids.

What are the risks of Morpheus 8?

Morpheus 8 can cause bruising. It can be used for anyone who is on blood thinners. However, it would just take longer to heal.

How do I prepare for Morpheus 8?

Face should be clean and clear of make-up. A numbing cream will be applied to the area and removed after 1 hour.

What precautions should I follow after a Morpheus 8 treatment

No creams should be applied to the skin for 2 days after treatment. There is no downtime afterwards. However, you may not want to go out for 2 days and this is called social downtime.

What can I expect during treatment?

After the numbing cream is removed, the probe will be stamped onto the skin to be treated. The probe has 24 small needles that will penetrate the skin and then release heat. The stamping motion continues until treatment is completed. Application of the numbing cream will make this treatment very tolerable. If there is any pain, Dr. Nainar will administer nerve blocks to increase anesthesia. The skin will be red and hot after the treatment. As healing occurs, skin will feel itchy and will flake off. We will supply ZO skin care Soothing Ointment as part of the postprocedure care.

How many treatments of Morpheus 8 do I need?

Treatments are recommended 4 to 6 weeks apart. Each session is 1 hour in length. Number of treatments is up to you but most people would do 3 or more sessions to achieve the look they want.

How long will the treatment last?

It all depends on what you do for diet, exercise and skin care. Effects may last 9 to 12 months or longer. You may then need a touch up session.
